FAQ
Common questions.
Something else? Ask it in the form above.
CVD or HPHT — which one do I need?
It depends on size and duty. CVD polycrystalline diamond covers large areas and is the usual choice for heat spreaders above a few millimetres, optical windows and wear surfaces. HPHT single crystal suits small parts that need the highest, most uniform conductivity or a sharp crystal edge. Send the application and we will recommend one.
Do I need a finished drawing?
No. A sketch, the device footprint or the operating requirements are enough to start; we can propose the geometry, grade and finish.
Can parts be supplied metallised and pre-soldered?
Yes. Standard stacks are Ti/Pt/Au, Ti/Au and Cr/Au, with AuSn pre-solder for die attach. Other stacks are available on request.
Do you make prototypes as well as production volumes?
Yes. We supply prototype quantities for qualification and recurring volumes once a design is released.
How are pricing and lead times determined?
They depend on the grade, size, thickness and finishing requirements. We confirm both in the quotation after reviewing your project.
Can you work under NDA?
Yes. We can sign a non-disclosure agreement before you send drawings.
